Lulu the Kitten and the No-Touch Bottles

Lulu is a tiny kitten with an enormous heart for adventure — there's nothing she loves more than poking her whiskers into someplace new. But one afternoon she discovers a shelf of shimmering, colorful bottles, and very nearly lands in trouble. This tender little story teaches children why medicines and cleaning products are never toys, and why the bravest explorers are always the careful ones.

In a big house beside a garden lived a tiny kitten named Lulu. She was curious from the tips of her ears to the tip of her tail, and more than anything in the world, she loved to explore.

One afternoon, while Mama Cat was dozing on the porch, Lulu slipped quiet as a whisper into the little storage room. High on a shelf stood rows of colorful bottles — blue ones, green ones, pink ones — with bright, shiny labels. They glimmered in the ribbons of light like real, sparkling jewels.

Lulu was already reaching out one soft paw to roll a bottle closer, when a firm voice sounded right behind her. “Lulu, careful!” said Papa. “You mustn't so much as touch those bottles!”

The kitten blinked in surprise. “But why? They're so pretty…” “And that,” said Papa Cat sternly, “is exactly what makes them dangerous.”

“They only look harmless,” Papa went on. “In truth, they are very strong cleaning liquids. Even one tiny drop could hurt you.” Lulu snatched her paw back at once. “I didn't know…” she whispered.

Papa gently ran a paw over her little head and said softly, “Remember this, my darling: never open a bottle or a jar without asking a grown-up first. Medicines and chemicals are not toys — not ever. And if you find something like this, come and call Mama or me right away.”

The kitten nodded obediently, then hopped out of the storage room, pulling the little door tightly shut behind her.

That evening, Lulu told Mama all about her adventure. Mama wrapped her daughter in a warm hug and smiled. “What a clever girl, to listen to Papa at once and not touch a thing.”

“That's just how it should be done,” said Mama. “Never help yourself to medicines or chemicals, no matter how bright and interesting they look. Always call a grown-up, and always stay watchful, my little explorer.”

Lulu smiled a happy smile, and deep in her heart she made herself a promise: from now on, she would always remember these important rules, and always, always be careful.

Never take medicine or pills by yourself — only parents or a doctor may give them to you. Never open bottles or jars with bright labels without a grown-up's permission. Cleaning products can look lovely, but they are dangerous for your health. Remember: curiosity is wonderful, but safety always comes first.

From that day on, Lulu knew that even the most exciting adventures must be safe ones. Only then do they bring true joy — and open the way to new and wonderful discoveries.
