Terms of Use
Marytale · Last updated 20 July 2026
These terms apply to the Marytale app and to the Marytale Premium subscription. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
What Marytale is
Marytale is a collection of illustrated bedtime stories for children, read on an iPhone. Some stories are free, and one further story is free each day. The rest of the collection opens with a subscription.
Subscription
- Marytale Premium is offered as a monthly or an annual auto-renewing subscription.
- Both plans begin with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Purchases are made through Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms — we cannot issue them ourselves. Requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Because purchases are handled by Apple, Apple’s standard licence terms also apply: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
Using the app
Marytale is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial family use. Please do not copy, redistribute, resell or publish the stories or illustrations, or attempt to extract them from the app.
The stories, illustrations, text and design in Marytale belong to us or to our licensors. The subscription gives you access to read them; it does not transfer ownership of them.
Children and parents
Marytale is intended to be set up and paid for by an adult. Purchases, settings and every link leading outside the app sit behind a parental gate. If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for purchases made on your device.
Changes to the app and to these terms
The collection of stories grows over time, and stories may occasionally be added, updated or withdrawn. We may update these terms; the current version always appears on this page with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Marytale running well, but the app is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be limited by agreement.
