Thomas is a curious little rabbit who finds a mysterious box beneath a tree one bright morning — and inside waits a tiny, dancing flame with a great big lesson to teach. Follow him along the forest paths, where wonder meets caution and every choice matters. A warm, funny, gently wise tale about understanding the power of small things.

Deep in a green forest valley, among the tall and whispering trees, lived a little rabbit named Thomas. He was curious about everything, loved to poke and explore, and asked his mama a thousand questions a day.

“Why do the stars twinkle?” “Why is fire so hot?” “And why, oh why, do matches smell like smoke?”

One day, Thomas found a little box tucked under a tree. Inside were... matches! “Wow!” he cried. “These must be magic wands! If I rub one against another, maybe some magic will pop out!”

But the moment he touched a match, out sprang a tiny orange flame with two funny, blinking eyes! “Hello! I’m Blink — a little flame!” he sang, spinning round like a top. “Better not touch me just for fun. I’m very strong, and I can be dangerous if you don’t know the rules.”

“You’re so pretty!” said Thomas, delighted. “I want to play with you!” Blink hopped quick as a wink onto a leaf. “Oh no! I’m not a toy. If you play with me without a grown-up, I could burn your paws, scorch the grass, or even set the whole forest ablaze!”

“But you’re so tiny,” the little rabbit insisted. “Tiny, but not weak!” said Blink, and he skipped over to a dry leaf. At once it began to smolder and curl. “See? One little touch is all it takes.”

Thomas stepped back. “Then what should we do about you, Blink?” “I’m needed for all sorts of good things. People cook with me, warm themselves by me, and light up the dark. But only grown-ups know how to use me safely. And they always watch to make sure I don’t slip away.”

“And if I ever find matches again?” “Tell a grown-up right away! Never take them yourself. Do you promise?” “I promise!” Thomas nodded, very serious. “You’re kind, Blink. Thank you for warning me.”

“And thank you for listening,” the little flame smiled. “Now you’re a true guardian of the forest!” said Blink, and with a hop he leaped back into his box.

From that day on, Thomas told all his forest friends that fire must always be treated with care. Matches are not toys. And if anyone found them in the grass or at home, they should call a grown-up straightaway.

Fire is a wonderful helper, but it can turn dangerous if the rules aren’t followed. Matches, lighters, and candles are not toys. They may only be used together with a grown-up.

Little heroes are the ones who know the safety rules — and help keep everyone else safe too.
