Rainbow hung out to dry

Somebody has taken the rainbow down and hung it out: seven curved strips pegged along a line like clean washing. The sky behind has a wide gap exactly where they should be. A bird on the line is checking that everything has been hung up properly.

Color the strips in the real rainbow order — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet — and use the same colors for the rainbow in the sky. Leave the pegs pale.
