Apple with a worm

The bird landed on a branch next to a ripe apple and was just about to take a peck when a worm popped out and waved hello. It turns out this apple is already taken: the worm lives inside.

The apple can be red, green, or yellow with rosy cheeks; the leaves green and the branch brown. A striped worm looks especially funny. The apple is a big, simple space, so this page works for kids ages 2 to 3 and up.
