When kind Princess Elara rescues a small hurt bird, she has no idea their meeting was ever meant to be. The bird becomes her dearest friend and shares a secret shimmering with magic — one that could change the whole kingdom's fortune. Once, in a kingdom folded among green hills and rivers that caught the light like ribbons, there lived a princess named Elara. She had the softest heart of anyone for miles, and she was never too busy to help a soul who needed her. For that, every man, woman, and child in the land loved her dearly.

One sunny morning, as Elara wandered through the royal garden, she heard a tiny, trembling cry drifting out from the edge of the wood. Her heart tugged, and she followed the sound between the trees. There, low in the grass, lay a little bird. One wing hung crooked and broken, and try as it might, the poor thing could not lift itself into the sky.

Without a moment's pause, Elara gathered the bird gently in her two hands and carried it home to the castle. She asked the royal healer to mend the broken wing with the greatest care. And every day after, morning and evening, she came to visit her small guest, bringing crumbs of bread and cool, clean water.

As the little bird grew stronger, it began to thank Elara the only way it knew — with song. Sweet, silvery melodies floated down every corridor until the whole castle seemed to hum with happiness. The princess and the bird became the closest of friends, and Elara gave her a name at last: Flori.

One evening, as the sun slipped low and the sky blushed pink and orange, Flori spoke — in a voice as gentle as a lullaby. “Princess Elara,” she said, “you have shown me kindness beyond measure. I am no ordinary bird, but an enchanted one, and to thank you, I will grant you a single wish.”

Elara blinked in wonder, then smiled her warmest smile. “Thank you, Flori. My wish is a simple one: I wish for happiness and plenty for my kingdom and every soul who lives in it.” Flori dipped her head and swept her wings, and out spilled a shower of glittering sparks that the wind carried far and wide. From that day on, the whole land lived in gladness and peace.

Ever after, Flori stayed close by the princess's side. Together they made their kingdom a home of quiet joy and lasting peace, reminding everyone who passed through it that kindness and a caring heart can work the truest magic of all.
